Job Title: Director of Marketing, Butler County Visitors Bureau

Reports to: Executive Director
Summary: Creative and motivated individual to manage and lead the BCVB marketing department. Identify and create marketing opportunities and develop short and long-term marketing strategies with the objective of promoting Butler County as a destination and to attract visitors to the BC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan and budget which includes strategies for branding, print & online advertising, electronic marketing, website and mobile development, public relations, publications, collateral materials, direct mail campaigns, social media, and exhibits.
  • Direct the development of marketing initiatives, including the BC brand, promotional campaigns, advertising and other projects designed to generate visitors to Butler County.
  • Direct the development and production of organizational, sports, group tour, meetings & associations, marketing & communication materials including the Butler County Visitors Guide, BC Annual Report, E-newsletters and visitor maps.
  • Direct development, continued innovation and content maintenance of the Butler County Visitors Bureau website and mobile marketing tools.
  • Oversee and implement an aggressive electronic marketing effort including website development, email marketing, search engine marketing, social media and mobile marketing.
  • Lead and manage the marketing team to deliver expected marketing strategies and goals.
  • Maintain cohesive working relationship with all other personnel to ensure a unified and effective promotional effort.
  • Maintain accurate statistics and data on the ROI of marketing programs and efforts, for regular reporting and analysis of the marketing plan.
  • Manage the BCVB marketing database.
  • Maintains national, regional and local profile in the travel industry through associations, committees and marketing cooperatives.
  • Submits applications for available state cooperative marketing dollars and solicits cooperative partners for other programs to enhance the marketing plan.
  • Closely monitor industry and destination marketing trends impacting the Butler County Visitors Bureau.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Requirements:
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing or a related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum five years related marketing experience
  • Prior CVB and/ or agency experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
  • Broad functional experience in areas of strategic marketing, market research, analysis and promotions/advertising
  • Significant experience in electronic marketing in particular internet and mobile marketing
  • Experience managing employees, outside resources, budgets and schedules
