The partner newsletter is a monthly communications tool we use to keep our partners informed of Destination Toledo efforts on their behalf, travel industry updates and local happenings.
Our marketing team recently transformed our partner newsletter with the following improvements:
– Changed name to “Going Places” partner newsletter to represent progress
– Added “Partner Tips” as a call to action to encourage partners to participate in our initiatives and events
– Added Industry Updates to keep partners informed
– Continue with use of branding colors, clean lines and professional look
The main target audience of the newsletter is all of Destination Toledo’s membership partners and local stakeholders. The newsletter serves as our primary regular communications tool our partners can use to stay current on Destination’s Toledo work efforts and important deadlines.
Our call to action was the addition of “partner tips” throughout the newsletter to assist partners on whom to contact for additional information on important topics and encouraging them to register for events. We also include click through event registration buttons.
Results: The average open rate of the partner newsletter is 35%. The average open rate for the travel industry is 20%.
