The Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau in partnership with Great Lakes Publishing produced the 2022 Destination Dayton Visitors Guide. The goal of the Guide is to promote Destination Dayton and its many offerings to a target audience of current and potential leisure visitors, convention/event visitors, motor coach tour groups, and local residents in order to increase visitation to and within the area, and to drive economic impact to our community. These goals successfully match the goals of the Dayton CVB to market Destination Dayton.
The complimentary-to-the-public publication provides vital visitor information on items such as area accommodations, attractions, arts & culture, restaurants, meeting facilities, shopping, MetroParks, maps, communities, history, sample itineraries, sporting/recreation activities, and a sampling of annual events directed toward our target audience’s needs, values and interests. The colorful cover stands out and features a beautiful and enticing picture of our skyline located along the banks of the Great Miami River, and includes a “shout-out” to the 150th birthday celebration of Daytonian Paul Laurence Dunbar. The Guide is user-friendly with colored tabs dividing the various sections.

We produced 80,000 print copies of the 44-page guide for distribution throughout 2022, as well as a digital flip-book version for use on our website, in eblasts to prospective meeting planners/clients/consumers or as a convention attendance builder, and for distribution via social media and on the Ohio Magazine website.

Visitors and convention attendees, in surveys the CVB administers, advise that the Dayton Visitors Guide is extremely helpful and user-friendly. Many extended their initially planned visit length after reading the Guide and learning more about Dayton/Montgomery County’s many diverse offerings.
