Please join OACVB, the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association, the Ohio Restaurant Association, and the Ohio Travel Association for the Ohio Tourism Works Lobbying Day on Wednesday, May 22!<\/p>\n

Attending the 2024 Lobbying Day gives you the opportunity to speak with your legislators about important issues facing your community and tourism in Ohio! Meetings with legislators will be conducted in their offices in the Ohio State House and the Vern Riffe State Office Tower. The Breakfast and Briefing, OACVB Board Meeting, and the Ohio Tourism Works Legislative Reception will be held in Le Bistro in the Capital Club on the 7th floor of the Huntington Center at 41 S. High St. Columbus OH 43215.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you register, please identify the legislator(s) you would like to meet with so we can make appointments for you.<\/p>\n<\/div>

May 21<\/strong><\/p>\n

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. <\/strong>Ohio Tourism Works Legislative Reception<\/strong><\/p>\n

A reception honoring legislators will be held in Le Bistro in the Capital Club in the Huntington Center. All legislators and their staff members will be invited to attend and it is a great opportunity to meet with legislators from across the state before the lobbying day begins.<\/p>\n

May 22<\/strong><\/p>\n

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. <\/strong>Breakfast and Briefing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before meetings with legislators, the day begins with a Breakfast and Briefing from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the Le Bistro of the DoubleTree. Here, association leaders will go over all the issues of importance to the industry so you can feel prepared for your meetings. This is also where you will receive complete position paper packets to leave behind in your meetings. A full, hot breakfast will be served.<\/p>\n

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. <\/strong>Legislative Appointments<\/strong><\/p>\n

Legislative appointments will be scheduled for you during these windows, based on the availability of the legislators. Please note that you could be partnered with others who have requested to meet with the same elected officials for these meetings. If you don’t request specific legislators to meet with, then appointments will be scheduled for you based on your zip code.<\/p>\n

12 – 1 p.m. <\/strong>OACVB Board Meeting and Lunch<\/strong><\/p>\n

An abbreviated OACVB board meeting will be held from 12 – 1 p.m. in the Horizon Lounge. All OACVB members are invited to attend the board meeting. The lunch will be sandwiches with fresh fruit, chips, pasta salad, and a signature Doubletree cookie along with a bottle of water. Please note: OACVB Members, you must register separately for the board meeting and lunch.<\/p>\n<\/div>
