An Every Day Island Getaway was born out of a need to have a one island one voice concept post-covid and to make the new brand recognizable throughout the community to our visitors. The need was to bring more business to the island during the week and the target audience was families and empty nesters. A safe task force was formed and money was raised by the community and its businesses to hire marketing firm to help develop a new logo and new brand. Marketing An Every Day Island Getaway to be a back yard vacation or a one tank trip to the ferry and have the island experience while here.

Our social media is used to promote the island by marketing it as an every day island getaway for families and empty nesters. We do this by marketing our businesses and events. Our Facebook and Instagram followers grew by 11%, our Facebook reach grew by 41%, our Instagram reach grew by 26%, our total impressions from Facebook and Instagram was over 917,000 and we had over 785,000 TikTok views in our first 3 months of being on the platform.

We saw a great increase in weekday visitors in 2022!
