The Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival is Visit Gahanna’s largest event of the year. Our main objective is to sell tickets to the event. This year we decided to pursue a marketing strategy that was heavier on the digital side than ever before to promote online ticket sales on the festival website. We incorporated more email campaigns and Facebooks ads, in addition to rack cards, a billboard ad, merchandise, shirts, an event map, and print ads. This comprehensive marketing campaign was designed to reach a larger target audience comprised of music lovers. The 2022 digital marketing campaign was a success, resulting in a 47% increase in online ticket sales compared to the 2021 event and attracting guests from 14 states outside of Ohio. We were able to measure these results through Ticket Sauce, our online ticketing platform. The event email campaigns achieved a 45% open rate and 10% click rate and our in-house Facebook ads averaged $0.10 cost per click. We handed out all of our event maps by the time the festival was over and we sold 30 more shirts than we predicted. Due to our success, we will continue to implement a heavily digital-focused campaign in our Creekside Blues & Jazz
