Promoting the Land of Grant Trail was a major focus in our marketing efforts as we knew the upcoming Bicentennial was going to be one of the main highlights of our tourism season. A combination of print and digital advertisement was served to our target audience of potential visitors with an interest in history. This piece was designed and published in AAA World which has an impressive circulation of 2,651,200. Our goal was to bring awareness to the Grant Bicentennial events and we felt a full-page advertisement would provide a large visual in this publication to really catch the attention of our protentional visitors. Other goals included Land of Grant promotion, increasing Grant brochure requests and increasing visitor guide requests.
We were happy with this advertising strategy and exceeded many goals. First, this advertisement included a reader response. People looking for more information about Clermont County or the Land of Grant could receive a visitor guide or brochure. In this publication alone, we sent out over 200 requests over the publications 12-month shelf life. That has been our largest reader response request from an advertisement thus far in 2022. Our strong messaging and creatives leave people wanting more about our events and region. Both unique QR codes in the advertisement provide data for our team and supply us with the tools to determine how to spend future marketing dollars. The Grant Bicentennial Dinner was a tremendous success and brought visitors from all over the country and Clermont County residents together to celebrate this special historical event. This sold-out event also proves the advertisement’s success.
